We do not recommend vendors lightly. Here is what it takes to earn AVP status — and what you can expect from the process.

What does it take to become an Approved Vendor Partner?

AVP status is earned, not purchased. Every applicant is reviewed against four criteria before approval is extended.

  • Proven results and case studies within the roofing, HVAC, or broader trades industry
  • Strong reputation, verifiable client satisfaction, and alignment with STG's values of performance and integrity
How many partners are accepted per category?

Each category is deliberately limited to 1–3 approved partners. This ensures our clients get access to the best solution in each space without noise or confusion.

  • Limiting partners per category protects the quality of STG's recommendation
  • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis — spots are filled and closed as they are awarded
How does the rebate and client benefit structure work?

STG may receive a referral or partner rebate from AVP vendors. Fifty percent of that rebate is passed directly back to the referring client — creating a financial benefit for every contractor who acts on an STG recommendation.

  • Partners must be willing to participate in this shared rebate structure as part of the AVP agreement
  • This model ensures STG's recommendations are always driven by value, not revenue
What industries do you serve and do I need trades-specific experience?

STG's client base is concentrated in roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general contracting. Trades-specific experience is a strong signal of fit.

What happens after I submit an application?

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. You will be contacted within a reasonable timeframe to discuss next steps if there is a potential fit.

  • Not every applicant will move forward — we review each submission carefully against current category availability
  • If approved, you will receive an AVP agreement outlining partnership terms before anything goes live
